Learning Assessment

Children with unique learning needs will often require differentiation within the classroom in order to be successful.  A Learning Assessment will examine the cognitive and academic strengths and weaknesses through interviews and administration of standardized cognitive and academic tests.  Results from this type of assessment  can provide valuable information on optimal individualized programming.  

ADHD Assessment

ADHD is a complex disorder that reaches far beyond difficulties paying attention.  It can impact learning and increase impulsivity and hyperactivity. Additionally, ADHD can cause impairments in executive functioning, which includes behavioral and emotional regulation.  An ADHD assessment is a comprehensive and multidimensional process which investigates the impact on an individual's functioning through interviews,  and administration of cognitive (and academic) tests and rating scales.    

Gifted Assessment

  Giftedness can be described as exceptional performance and/or potential in learning rate, depth of knowledge, reasoning and problem-solving abilities. A  Gifted Assessment will examine an individuals unique pattern of cognitive and academic strengths.  Admission to gifted programs, require this type of assessment.
